Richard Larson
Artist. Naturalist. Adventurer.
Raised in Minnesota, Richard developed an early love of nature and art. Exploring the outdoors of his own backyard and the rural Midwest, also, yielded a keen appreciation for weather, seasons, and other evidence of the endless processes in nature. Encouraged by a loving and supportive group of family and friends, he studied studio art at Linfield University and earned his Master's from Arizona State University.
After graduate school, Richard worked as a gallery artist for years before developing an outstanding career designing interpretive exhibits with a particular expertise in nature and visitor centers. And, while he has taken an extended sabbatical from his studio to pursue his career, travel, and climb some of the highest peaks in the Western U.S., he is back in his studio. He is reconnecting with his passion and talent at reflecting the natural world through painting, poetry, and other creative endeavors.
